Truth. By Simon J. Woodstock

If you clicked the Truth link, I’ll take a guess you’re interested in coming to know the truth for yourself. I’d like to share with you words of truth that positively changed my life forever. I’m convinced they could change yours as well in a very radical and meaningful way. My prayer is that the Lord would touch your heart as you read this.

It is important to know that God is the Almighty Creator of the universe, and He cares about your eternal well being. He has made an exclusive way available for you to be saved through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.

One of the main aspects of Christianity is forgiveness. The Bible says that God gave His one and only Son so that you could be forgiven of your sins and be saved from Hell and into Heaven (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). A huge problem that stands in the way of people accepting the forgiveness of God is the common idea that everyone has their own personal truth and that no one is ultimately ‘wrong’ about anything. I have found that by just taking a simple look at the Bible, we can learn that we have broken God’s rules and that we all have, in fact, wronged Him by committing moral crimes (Romans 3:23).

Do you think you have perfectly obeyed God’s moral laws? Jesus said that if you have ever been wrongfully angry with someone, that such anger is on par with murder (Matt. 5:21-22). The Bible also forbids drunkenness and theft (1 Cor. 6:9-11). Have you ever been drunk? Have you ever stolen anything (even small items)? If you have, God will rightfully say on Judgment Day that you have committed eternally punishable crimes against Him. The Bible also forbids telling lies (Exodus 20:17). Have you ever told a lie, even a single white lie? Revelation calls out all liars and sinners and says they shall have their part in the eternal Lake of Fire, often referred to as Hell (Rev. 21:8).

I want you to know that I am not trying to use random scare tactics here. These are simply truths pointed out in God’s Word. Judgment for our sins can be seen as the “bad news.” But once you have realized that you have wronged God and that you stand to experience His wrath apart from Christ, then you should be that much more happy to know that you can turn away from your sins right now. You can run into the everlasting open arms of Jesus Christ for forgiveness.

The GOOD NEWS is that Jesus Christ died on a cross over 2,000 years ago to take the eternal punishment for your sins and save you from God’s wrath (1 Thess. 5:9). The Bible teaches that if you truly want to stop breaking God’s rules and put your faith in the Messiah, you will be saved. You can take this step of faith by confessing with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and by believing that God raised Him from the dead (Rom. 10:9). Follow Christ at all costs as He shows you how to walk out your faith. Pray. Read the Bible every day. Find a good church. And be sure to praise the Lord on your board!

If this is something that you desire to do, just cry out to God in repentance right where you sit or stand and put your faith wholeheartedly in His Son Jesus Christ for salvation. In doing so, you will have peace and a relationship with God now and the hope of Heaven that when you die, there will be no more suffering, sorrow, tears, disease, or evil. It is there that you will live in an eternal state of bliss in the very presence of God. Lord bless.
